Shrikes are carnivorous and feed on prey such as lizards, insects, and smaller birds. When they're finished feeding they're known to impale their prey on thorns, barbed wire, or any small spike they can find, so they can return to it later and feed on the remains. What does all this have to do with this bar? Not a damn thing, but I figure a bar with a good shape like this deserves to be named after a family of birds that are sick.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis bar has a good amount of back and upsweep, but not so much backsweep that it feels too mellow or cruiser-y, it stays in the \"trail\/ mountain\" handlebar category in my brain. This bar is somewhat similar to our \u003ca rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/crustbikes.com\/collections\/handlebars\/products\/juan-martin-bar\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eJuan Martin\u003c\/a\u003e bar, in that it has no rise or upsweep, but has 45° backsweep. It doesn't have the large flat area up front specifically for hanging a handlebar bag off of like the Juan, but it does have more grip area to mount controls, or bells, or bongs, or reflective triangles, or a small chihuahua or whatever.
